In the 1700's the land was an original grant to the then governor Wentworth. A portion of the house and barn was built in the 1760s and completed in the 1810 era.

In 1938 the Albee family purchased property and turned the house into an Inn and the barn into an Antique store. This Inn and Antique Barn eventually became part of the "Allen A Resort",a world renowned( in its time) summer vacation resort.

The new owners, the Gunn family, have restored the orignial farmhouse to 21st century standards. The 1810 House is now a smoke free, 3 bedroom bed and breakfast.

The bedrooms offer large private baths, flat screen TVs and King size sleigh beds. Each bedroom has air conditioning for summer and a gas fireplace for those cold winter nights in Wolfeboro. The spacious baths are oh so luxurious featuring 2 person Jacuzzi’s, large corner showers and antique vanities.

One of the rooms is a suite featuring a lovely sitting room which has fold-out twin beds to accommodate 2 children 10 years old or under.

For our guests enjoyment, upon arrival you are treated to fresh baked sweets.

Breakfast is served between 7 and 9 AM, cooked to order from a menu.

The private dining room has cozy round tables for 2 and a private exit to our spacious farmers porch.

There is a private living room where our guests can read or watch TV.

The common room has ice, water and a microwave oven.

Tea and coffee is available as well as internet access.

There is ample parking for boat and snowmobile trailers.

In consideration of all our guests, no dogs are allowed.

Our guests can shop on the premises in the 1810 House Shops, an antiques barn featuring antiques and collectables from 30 vendors. The barn is open daily.

A special bonus in the summer is Molly The Trolley which stops in the yard hourly every day.

Our guests can ride Molly to downtown Wolfeboro for shopping and lunch and return to the 1810 House without having to drive.

The Albee Beach on Lake Wentworth is diagonally across the street, an easy walk.
